Be the Mentor You Once Needed
Show kindness and guidance to someone who seeks your mentorship. If someone genuinely wants to learn from you, make time for them.
You might have been mentored by someone yourself. Think about that one doubt they helped you clarify. That one suggestion they gave you. That one direction they showed you when you didn’t know what to do next. It might have been a small effort for them, but it could have made a big difference in your journey.
When you are in a position to mentor someone, take the time to do it. Your small effort might change someone’s life for the better.
I have been fortunate to be mentored by many people and to have had the opportunity to work with some of them directly. I don’t take that for granted. And whenever someone seeks genuine guidance from me, I will always try to make time for them.
If you have learned something along the way, don’t keep it to yourself. Pass it on.
